Senior Python Engineer

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for a cloud-based mental health platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrate with third-party healthcare, insurance, and external service providers.
• Implement business logic for synchronized data processing to keep distributed data consistent, accurate, and reliable.
• Develop scalable microservices in Python using FastAPI and/or Flask.
• Support cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with Kubernetes-based environments and improve scalability and observability.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and support CI/CD pipelines; troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Python Software Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python 3.9+.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Flask (experience with both preferred).
• Proven experience designing and implementing REST APIs and integrating with third-party APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices, including gRPC and asynchronous messaging (Pub/Sub or similar).
• Availability for at least 2 hours of overlap with the Pacific Time zone for daily collaboration and handoffs.

• Experience with Django 4.x.
• Experience with React or modern frontend development.
• Experience with Helm and Atlantis.
• Experience in healthcare/health-tech or other regulated environments.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and production incident response.
