What you will do

• Design and build low-latency, high-availability backend services for alarm detection and response.
• Develop extensible AI-powered workflows for intrusion and video monitoring use cases.
• Build distributed systems integrating internal products and third-party services like dispatch and notifications.
• Collaborate with product, design, frontend, and firmware teams to shape end-to-end customer experiences.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of backend engineering experience in a production environment.
• Strong programming skills with a preference for Go.
• Solid grasp of distributed system design, API architecture, and event-driven workflows.
• Experience working with databases like Postgres and scalable data systems like Kafka or Redis.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is available for this role.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Temporal or other workflow engines.
• Experience developing AI-based systems capable of real-time reasoning from video and audio inputs.
