AVP, Technical Data Analyst (P&C Insurance)

Salary: $175,000–$210,000 annually

What you will do

• Review and document data assets across source systems, including current processes and their limitations.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and data quality issues.
• Create artifacts documenting data mappings and global transformation rules.
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts on global reporting requirements and standards.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across source systems.
• Provide decision support, product ownership, technical support for developers, and SDLC support across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, computer science, MIS, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar role within the P&C insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of P&C insurance, particularly policy and claims management systems.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, data modeling, data governance, and master data management.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, storytelling, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, plus experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
