Senior Associate/AVP, Risk & Reporting (Power BI)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States

Base salary: Senior Associate $130,000–$155,000 annually; Assistant Vice President $145,000–$170,000 annually. Discretionary bonus incentives and benefits are also available.

What you will do

• Build and maintain Power BI and Microsoft Fabric dashboards for asset-based finance deal monitoring, including collateral performance, credit metrics, and exposure analysis.
• Create reusable templates, common data models, measures, layouts, and navigation so new deals and monitoring views can be added efficiently.
• Partner with the ABF deal team to understand monitoring decisions, validate dashboard outputs, and incorporate feedback from working sessions, borrower calls, and vendor data validation.
• Develop SQL queries, DAX measures, Power Query scripts, PySpark notebooks, dataflows, pipelines, and Azure data engineering workflows.
• Implement semantic model security, including Row-Level Security and Object-Level Security, for sensitive deal and investor data.
• Maintain data integrity, reporting consistency, documentation, refresh controls, and BI design standards across scalable reporting solutions.

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of experience in data analytics and BI development on cloud platforms.
• Exposure to alternative investments is required; asset-based finance or structured credit experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong enterprise BI development experience with semantic modeling, calculation languages, query and transformation tooling, and paginated reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric or a comparable cloud data platform, SQL, Python, and a distributed processing framework such as PySpark.
• Experience with cloud orchestration, storage, and DevOps or CI/CD services, including Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake Storage, or equivalent technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
