Lead Financial Operations (Fintech): Managing regulatory reporting and financial operations for a futures commission merchant (FCM) with an accent on NFA and CFTC compliance. Focus on overseeing daily regulatory filings, mentoring a team of associates, and enhancing internal controls and automation.

Location: Must be based in Chicago, IL. Hybrid schedule (Tuesday–Thursday in office).

Salary: $85,000 – $110,000 USD + 8% target bonus

What you will do

• Own the timely and accurate completion of all daily regulatory filings, monthly 1-FR-FCM reports, and NFA/CFTC segregation reporting.
• Serve as the final quality control reviewer for team reconciliations and general ledger accuracy.
• Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of Financial Operations Associates.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase automation and reduce operational risk.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Technology on new initiatives and product launches.
• Act as the primary liaison during regulatory examinations and audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial operations or regulatory reporting within an FCM or broker-dealer.
• Working knowledge of NFA and CFTC segregation rules and FCM regulatory reporting requirements.
• Prior experience leading, mentoring, or developing a team.
• Must be based in Chicago, IL.
