Senior Accountant (Digital Assets)

Location: New York City; required to work from the office near Union Square at least 4 days per week

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 base salary annually, plus discretionary annual target bonus, performance incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and review month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Reconcile cryptocurrency wallets, exchanges, and blockchain transactions to support accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with SEC Reporting and FP&A teams on financial statements, audits, budgets, forecasts, and planning.
• Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures for the cryptocurrency industry.
• Monitor financial data, regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Lead automation and workflow improvements for balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• At least 3 years of public and private accounting experience in financial services, fintech, and/or digital assets.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles; experience with digital asset accounting practices is highly preferred.
• Experience with accounting software and familiarity with blockchain-based financial tools.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving regulations.
• Basic understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital asset management is highly desirable.
