What you will do

• Proactively originate new-to-bank opportunities with a focus on debt transactions.
• Build and maintain deep relationships with private equity, debt advisers, accountants, and lawyers.
• Structure competitive debt solutions tailored to client strategies and funding requirements.
• Drive balance sheet growth and increase share of wallet across a diverse sector portfolio.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and structure while managing risk appetite.
• Support clients in developing ESG strategies and their journey to Net Zero.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in corporate banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
• Strong financial and numerical skills with a proven track record in business development.
• Proven credit experience in evaluating propositions and making commercial recommendations.
• Detailed understanding of legal documentation and ability to negotiate commercial terms.
• Strong communication skills for building relationships with influential external partners.
• Must be based in the UK and able to work in a hybrid capacity in Exeter or Plymouth.
