Credit Officer (Banking)

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of Global Banks and incorporate forward-looking horizon risks into credit papers and partner discussions.
• Support new business origination by assessing and shaping live transactions within the FI growth strategy.
• Conduct client due diligence meetings to evaluate risk and institutional stability.
• Contribute to sector strategy, appetite setting, and the refinement of credit policies and processes.
• Collaborate with Coverage and Product colleagues as a trusted business partner to drive collegiate working across FI Credit.
• Ensure data integrity and lead simplification initiatives within credit reporting and documentation.

Requirements

• Sound understanding of credit risk assessment specifically for Banks.
• Robust knowledge of FI sectors, products, lending, and traded documentation.
• Strong numerical analysis skills and ability to handle complex data.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for presenting complex information clearly.
• Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in or be able to commute to London, Birmingham, or Edinburgh for hybrid work.
