Senior Credit Analyst

What you will do

• Assess customer credit applications, financial statements, payment history, and other data to determine credit risk and set appropriate credit limits.
• Evaluate venture-backed, pre-profitability, and high-growth companies by analysing funding rounds, investor backing, burn rates, cash runway, liquidity, and financial health.
• Monitor customer accounts, credit exposure, aged receivables, and collection performance to identify risks and reduce bad debt.
• Conduct account reviews and reconciliations, resolving disputes, deductions, and payment discrepancies.
• Prepare credit risk assessments, exposure reports, and performance indicators for management, and recommend payment terms and risk mitigation measures.
• Work with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, auditors, and other stakeholders while supporting credit policies, controls, process improvements, and junior team mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in Credit Management, Credit Analysis, Accounts Receivable, or a related finance role, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, collections management, and financial statement analysis.
• Experience evaluating venture-funded or high-growth companies and understanding venture capital financing structures, fundraising cycles, and cash runway analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills are also required.

Nice to have

• Professional finance or credit qualifications such as CICM, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other innovation-driven sectors.
• Experience with process improvement, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
