Salary: $108,500 – $201,500 per year

What you will do

• Build and evolve the metadata platform, specifically focusing on read, write, and streaming APIs.
• Solve complex distributed systems problems regarding availability, consistency, sharding, and scaling.
• Design and operate resilient, scalable systems across multiple clouds and services.
• Independently drive high-impact projects and identify critical system gaps.
• Lead the delivery of secure and highly available distributed services.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• 6+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale backend services in production.
• Proficiency in Go or a similar major programming language with strong algorithmic skills.
• Strong expertise in concurrency, correctness, and preventing race conditions.
• Hands-on experience with distributed data stores such as DynamoDB, Cosmos, Spanner, or Cassandra.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes operators and controller patterns.
• Experience with event streaming, specifically Kafka, event ordering, and idempotency.
• Master's degree.
