What you will do

• Design and build reliable services, APIs, and product-facing workflows.
• Develop across backend systems, UI surfaces, and event processing.
• Convert ambiguous business and customer problems into concrete technical plans.
• Own production behavior, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and debugging.
• Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, and other engineering teams.
• Improve system quality through automated tests, code reviews, and simplified designs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, Kotlin, Go, or a similar backend language.
• Experience with SQL and cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
• Experience with event systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Pub/Sub.
• Strong production debugging skills and experience with distributed systems.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in London, UK

Nice to have

• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with third-party integrations, account linking, and OAuth.
• Knowledge of Redis, caching, and high-volume event processing.
• Experience with analytics, reporting, or event data products.
