What you will do

• Design and implement reliable technical solutions and APIs for telco customer journeys.
• Build distributed systems using Go, Kafka, Kubernetes, Postgres, and MongoDB.
• Implement event-driven architectures while ensuring system resilience, uptime, and progressive degradation.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to deliver customer-focused features in an agile environment.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and model engineering best practices within autonomous teams.
• Manage end-to-end delivery from design and build to deployment and ongoing support.

Requirements

• Proven fluency with Postgres, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
• Solid experience building distributed systems, including concurrency and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of observability, SLAs, and system resilience.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, Terraform, and modern cloud workflows.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end solutions from design through to deployment.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go.
• Experience in regulated consumer services or consultancy.
• Familiarity with database migrations, specifically CockroachDB to RDS.
