What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain search infrastructure and query systems for product discovery and analytics.
• Build and optimize notification services for real-time alerts and updates.
• Develop and enhance audit logging systems to capture, store, and query security and compliance data.
• Create MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools and integrations to extend platform functionality.
• Architect and implement scalable, distributed backend services using Golang and cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers; write well-tested code; participate in reviews, planning, and on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience building distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building production services at scale.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems (consistency, availability, partitioning, consensus).
• Experience with search infrastructure (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch/Solr or similar) and event-driven notification systems.
• Strong database and data modeling skills (SQL and NoSQL), plus API design experience (REST, gRPC).
• Experience with microservices and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and event streaming/message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ/NATS or similar).

Nice to have

• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar extensibility frameworks.
• Knowledge of observability/monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and security/auth systems (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT).
• Experience with compliance/audit logging for enterprise or regulated environments.
• Background in SRE practices and building reliable, self-healing systems.
