What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable notification systems across email and integration channels.
• Partner with product, design, and data teams to define outcomes and interpret results.
• Balance rapid iteration with long-term architectural health and security.
• Set an example in code reviews by evaluating quality, performance, and architectural alignment.
• Mentor engineers through technical design discussions and pairing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in a production SaaS environment.
• Strong proficiency in Go, including designing and building public APIs and distributed backend services.
• Experience designing and operating asynchronous, event-driven, or queue-based distributed systems at scale.
• Strong product mindset with empathy for customers and a focus on high-quality user experiences.
• Ability to operate autonomously and influence technical direction across teams.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Security experience, including threat modeling and handling sensitive data.
• Experience with containerized services and Kubernetes in production.
