What you will do

• Manage full-cycle billing, collections, and accounts payable for the German entity.
• Execute treasury, cash management, and inter-company transactions between Germany and the US.
• Ensure payroll accounting accuracy in collaboration with People Ops and external providers.
• Maintain dual bookkeeping across DATEV (German statutory) and Rillet (global ERP).
• Coordinate VAT returns and annual tax compliance with external Steuerberater.
• Support monthly and year-end consolidated US GAAP reporting.

Requirements

• Completed Ausbildung as Steuerfachangestellter/Steuerfachwirt or a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in fast-growing companies or startups.
• Full fluency in both German and English.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and experience with ERP systems.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Freiburg, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with DATEV, Rillet, or NetSuite.
• Familiarity with both German GAAP (HGB) and US GAAP principles.
• Experience in technology or SaaS companies.
• Knowledge of intercompany accounting and transfer pricing basics.
