Operations Manager (Aerospace Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage daily supply, manufacturing, inventory, and FAA repair station operations.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9000, FAA, and OSHA standards while maintaining product traceability.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve production workflows.
• Coordinate production planning, materials, inventory, and resources through ERP and MRP systems.
• Analyze operational data, resolve issues, improve KPIs, and report performance to the General Manager.
• Lead the operations team and collaborate with engineering, customers, finance, and leadership on production goals, budgets, and equipment investments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in operations management or supervisory roles.
• Experience managing teams of 15 or more in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9000 quality systems, traceability, lean manufacturing, OSHA regulations, and manufacturing practices.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems, production and materials management, data analysis, and operational reporting.
• Working knowledge of electrical theory for PCB work, box builds, and environmental testing.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with customers and cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of operations management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or electronics manufacturing.
• Familiarity with FAA repair station processes, government contracts, PCB population, box builds, or environmental testing.
