Production Manager - Retort (Manufacturing)

Location: Parsons, West Virginia, USA; on-site

Salary: $61,800–$113,100 in Zone C, $68,000–$124,500 in Zone B, or $74,200–$135,800 in Zone A per year, depending on work location.

What you will do

• Lead safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible Retort production operations.
• Deliver production schedules while meeting quality, service, cost, productivity, and efficiency targets.
• Manage labor, materials, equipment utilization, departmental budgets, and operating expenses.
• Drive continuous improvement through waste elimination, productivity improvement, labor efficiency, cost reduction, visual management, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure finished products meet quality and regulatory requirements while partnering with Quality and Supply Chain teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop production employees while building accountability, engagement, and adaptability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years of experience leading teams.
• Experience in highly mechanized manufacturing operations, such as metalworking, machinery, industrial equipment, lumber, or wood products manufacturing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong communication, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, decision-making, strategic thinking, and customer-service skills.

Nice to have

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
• Experience with KPI tracking, production reporting, and workforce planning.
