Director Operations (Manufacturing)

Location: Berlin, WI, USA; onsite leadership of a multi-shift manufacturing plant and raw material warehouse campus

What you will do

• Lead daily operations and continuous improvement across a multi-shift manufacturing facility and warehouse campus.
• Deploy the hirify.global Manufacturing System using lean principles, PDCA, and Managing for Daily Improvement.
• Drive performance across safety, people, quality, delivery, cost, and cash.
• Establish standardized work, visual management, layered process audits, and daily problem-solving routines.
• Develop leaders and frontline teams through coaching, training, cross-training, and succession planning.
• Plan capacity, capital equipment, technology, workforce needs, and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience applying lean principles and techniques with demonstrated year-over-year improvement.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing teams in a discrete, industrial, or consumer capital goods manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading diverse teams and aligning objectives with business strategy.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
• Six or more years of lean implementation experience with measurable operational results.
• Lean, Operations, or Supply Chain certifications.
• Experience with automated manufacturing, OEE, Total Productive Maintenance, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Industry 4.0, SAP, Kanban, or Plan for Every Part.
