What you will do
- Design and implement a 1-to-3-year sales strategy for eBooks, journals, and Open Access within the territory.
- Develop comprehensive strategies for consortium-level partnerships and multi-institutional agreements.
- Achieve and exceed annual territory sales targets while managing national agreements.
- Provide coaching and professional development to a team of sales specialists.
- Cultivate strong relationships with consortium leaders, government officials, and industry stakeholders.
- Execute regular customer sales visits and attend conferences (30-50% travel expected).
Requirements
- Proven track record in academic publishing sales with success in strategic account management and business development.
- Experience with consortium sales, Read & Publish agreements, or national-level negotiations.
- Strong understanding of the academic publishing industry, including journals, eBooks, and Open Research.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively with solid commercial acumen.
- Must be based within a commutable distance of the Oxfordshire office.
- Ability to work in-person at least 3 days per week.
