What you will do

• Manage, hire, and develop a team of Cloud Operations Engineers, including Senior and Staff-level talent.
• Own team-level operational outcomes including fleet reliability SLOs, error budgets, and incident response quality.
• Manage cloud cost accountability (FinOps) and budget optimization across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Oversee the team's contribution to audit and compliance programs, specifically FedRAMP and SOC2.
• Partner with technical leadership on architecture direction, Terraform standards, and multi-tenant isolation.
• Coordinate cross-team planning with Security, Product Engineering, and Support to manage work intake.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering or cloud operations teams, including managing Senior and Staff engineers.
• Strong technical background in cloud operations (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
• Experience running on-call rotations (e.g., PagerDuty) and balancing team workload sustainably.
• Proven track record in cybersecurity and recruiting/retaining senior technical talent.
• Experience partnering with Security/Compliance teams on FedRAMP, SOC2, or similar audit programs.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a Senior or Staff-level IC in cloud operations or SRE.
• Experience managing teams supporting external, regulated customers.
• Familiarity with multi-tenant cloud architecture and NIST CSF.
• Experience managing distributed or remote engineering teams.
