TL;DR
Performance/Simulation/Application Engineer (Mechanical Engineering): Developing and validating diesel engine performance and emissions with an accent on simulation, analysis, and product validation. Focus on optimizing fuel consumption and transient response, and translating engine dyno test results into actionable engineering recommendations.
Location: Must work onsite five days a week in Wuxi, China

What you will do
- Collaborate with customers and leadership to scope and execute projects that meet business needs.
- Deliver high-quality simulation and analysis impacting products and processes.
- Partner with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver new products and improve validation processes.
- Maintain expertise in new technologies to drive continuous improvement of established techniques.
- Provide clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders based on technical analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Engines/Internal Combustion Engines.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a related industry.
- English: Fluent (C1) required for effective collaboration with global teams across different time zones.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Engineering (CAE) tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for root cause analysis.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in engineering with professional experience in engine performance system development.
- Experience in diesel engine combustion, emissions, and fuel consumption optimization.
- Knowledge of turbocharging, EGR, and aftertreatment technologies.
- Experience designing and interpreting engine dyno and emissions testing.
- Prior involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) or Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) processes.
