What you will do

• Drive reliability and uptime of SEM systems to achieve industry-leading system availability.
• Evaluate system designs and manufacturing processes to identify potential failure modes.
• Develop and implement Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate component and system durability.
• Define and assess accelerated life testing, including thermal, vibration, vacuum, and high-voltage conditions.
• Partner with suppliers to qualify components and ensure compliance with technical requirements.
• Investigate field and factory failures using statistical analysis and data science techniques.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Reliability Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience developing or improving semiconductor capital equipment.
• Deep understanding of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) or similar precision systems.
• Strong background in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and reliability engineering methodologies.
• Experience with high-vacuum, high-voltage, and cleanroom contamination control environments.
• Willingness to travel 15% internationally.
