Senior I&C Engineering Manager (Semiconductor Automation)

What you will do

• Lead an on-site team of engineers, technicians, and programming specialists.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, train, and evaluate team members while managing career progression and resource allocation.
• Design and architect industrial automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, SCADA platforms, industrial networks, and field devices.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and coordination with internal and global cross-functional teams.
• Lead HMI/SCADA development and optimization for usability, reliability, performance, and alarm management.
• Direct root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for control loops, automation failures, and active sustaining construction environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in instrumentation, controls, and automation engineering.
• Advanced experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and RSLogix, Siemens TIA Portal and S7, and Emerson Machine Edition.
• Expertise with Ignition, FactoryTalk, WinCC, or Cimplicity SCADA platforms, plus motion control, robotics, SQL databases, MES integration, and IIoT architectures.
• Must be fully authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Local presence near Santa Clara, California.
• Experience in semiconductor cleanrooms or data center environments, including field verification and commissioning.
• Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity practices and AutoCAD.
