Company

hirify.global develops human-rated space stations, space infrastructure, spacecraft, satellites, and future systems for the Moon and Mars.

What you will do

  • Own build reliability for avionics hardware and work centers, setting expectations for reliability, manufacturability, and build and flight readiness.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance to establish scalable quality and verification plans across the product lifecycle.
  • Define flight-hardware readiness criteria, including process qualification, manufacturability, and inspectability, and retire build risks during production ramp-up.
  • Mature avionics production processes through improved documentation, equipment, tooling, process controls, data collection, and training.
  • Lead containment, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, build-quality reviews, and recovery plans for high-impact and off-nominal issues.
  • Drive cost-of-quality reductions through simpler requirements, clearer design standards, streamlined inspection and validation, and stronger process controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, design, quality, reliability, or related roles.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or higher, including an advanced engineering degree.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with harness manufacturing, avionics or electromechanical manufacturing, functional testing, pressure testing, or environmental testing.
  • Experience owning projects, performing root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and influencing suppliers.
  • Ability to learn new tools, processes, and technical concepts quickly and collaborate across a matrixed organization.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and project-management skills, plus strong written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with statistical controls and methods such as MSA, DOE, and hypothesis testing.
  • Disciplined problem-solving using Six Sigma, 8D, or similar methods.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality systems and standards.
  • Familiarity with IPC 620, IPC 610, NASA 8739.4, and SMC-S-016 standards relevant to solar arrays, avionics manufacturing, workmanship, and launch requirements.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment with company equity.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
  • Paid time off, paid parental leave, disability insurance, life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
