Senior Associate, Growth Investing (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; the role is based in San Francisco, includes regular travel, and includes in-office perks.

Annual salary: $225,000, plus annual performance bonuses and potential participation in the firm's carry structure.

What you will do

• Develop and refine investment theses and market roadmaps across AI applications, infrastructure, defense, techbio, energy, and other software categories.
• Source companies, track business trajectories, and build long-term relationships with founders and executives.
• Lead financial modeling, valuation, cohort and retention analysis, market sizing, customer calls, and competitive analysis during due diligence.
• Synthesize research into investment recommendations and present clear points of view to the investment team.
• Support portfolio companies with KPI analysis, board preparation, introductions, and follow-on financings.
• Contribute to social media, content creation, and brand-building initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, growth equity, high-growth startups, or venture capital.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and company analysis skills.
• Genuine interest in software and AI, with familiarity with current products and market direction.
• Ability to build relationships with founders, executives, and co-investors.
• Entrepreneurial, resourceful, humble, independent, proactive, and willing to take full ownership of work.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco office and travel regularly, including for founder dinners, conferences, and company trips.
