GBM, Investment Banking Associate (Healthcare)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; office-based position

Salary: $150,000–$225,000 base salary annually, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Advise healthcare-sector clients across biotechnology, diagnostics, life sciences, healthcare IT, healthcare services, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals.
• Support and execute M&A, divestiture, equity financing, debt financing, restructuring, and risk management transactions.
• Create financial models, scenario analyses, valuation analyses, and transaction impact assessments.
• Prepare presentations, marketing materials, RFPs, and recommendations on industry trends and client strategies.
• Conduct and participate in business, financial, and legal due diligence sessions.
• Maintain client communication and collaborate with banking teams on transaction structuring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher with a strong academic record.
• MBA with at least 1 year of investment banking experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of investment banking or equivalent experience.
• Experience with client coverage and execution of M&A and capital-raising transactions.
• Knowledge of corporate finance, DCF, LBO, merger consequences, WACC, financial and merger modeling, accretion/dilution, ROIC, and debt capital analysis.
• Experience conducting due diligence and preparing transaction and marketing materials.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, multitasking, time-management, leadership, and collaboration skills.
