Counselor (Behavioral Health)

Location: On-site in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, USA. Set schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Conduct individual alcohol and drug abuse counseling and group sessions.
• Orient patients to treatment programs, conduct intake and readmission services, and provide follow-up support.
• Collect and assess social, educational, economic, and vocational information.
• Develop and revise patient treatment plans, maintain comprehensive records, and complete required documentation.
• Provide crisis intervention, referrals, follow-up care, and coordination with community providers.
• Support OBOT services, staff training, program implementation, and compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related Human Services field.
• Knowledge of human behavior, substance abuse populations, treatment planning, and human social services.
• Ability to make effective decisions and exercise sound judgment with confidential and sensitive information.
• Ability to respond effectively in stressful situations and seek supervisory guidance when needed.
• Compliance with applicable federal and state requirements for certification, licensure, and education.
