Kansas Licensed Counselor

Location: Lawrence, Kansas, USA; onsite at 1910 Haskell Avenue, Suite 9

Salary: $28.00–$30.00 per hour plus bonus structure

What you will do

• Conduct individual alcohol and drug abuse counseling and group sessions.
• Perform patient intake, readmission, assessment, supportive follow-up, and crisis intervention.
• Develop and revise treatment plans while maintaining comprehensive patient records.
• Coordinate care, referrals, and follow-up with community and inter-agency providers.
• Orient patients to treatment procedures and support their transition to a drug-free life.
• Provide or attend required staff training, conferences, and regulatory programs while delivering OBOT services.

Requirements

• Current counseling credentials and a state-compliant bachelor's or master's degree in a human services-related field.
• Applicable Kansas certification, licensure, and degree compliance is required.
• Knowledge of human behavior, substance use disorders, treatment planning, and human social services.
• Ability to make sound decisions, respond quickly in stressful situations, and handle confidential information.
• Behavioral health experience is preferred but not required.
