Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; hybrid role with an assigned workspace in the Prague office

Salary: Kč 1,440,000–Kč 1,800,000 gross per year

What you will do

• Collaborate with ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver machine learning solutions.
• Develop and deploy production-scale machine learning models for batch data products and real-time ML/AI services in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
• Build MLOps automation with ETL data pipelines to improve data preparation, model performance, and operational efficiency.
• Drive best practices and architecture for ML and LLM operations, including automated retraining, benchmarking, and evaluation.
• Document analytical processes, methodologies, and findings to support reproducibility and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Machine Learning/AI, Physics, or Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience building and deploying production-scale machine learning models with measurable business impact.
• Strong knowledge of modern ML and LLM-enabled pipelines, including hybrid model architectures and agentic workflows.
• Excellent Python and SQL skills, with practical experience using PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, SciPy, and XGBoost.
• Experience with AWS Redshift, Git or GitLab, and production ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, EMR, Airflow, or similar tools.
• Strong communication, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• PhD in a STEM field or experience in financial services or another commercial environment.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, Ray RLlib, vLLM, Apache Spark, reinforcement learning frameworks, or AI/ML API frameworks such as FastAPI and Starlette.
• Interest in current AI/ML research and experimentation with state-of-the-art models.
