Senior Python Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the EU; possible to work from the Prague office

hirify.global develops hirify.global ONE, an agentic data trust platform for data quality, governance, cataloging, lineage, observability, and reference data management.

What you will do

• Design and deliver production-grade evidence collectors for security, cloud, and identity tooling.
• Build a reusable collector framework with configuration, scheduling, normalization, failure handling, and alerting.
• Take platform modules through production cutover, including role-based access, audit logging, and writes to upstream systems.
• Build an AI compliance specialist that interprets controls, executes review procedures through REST APIs and MCP servers, and submits work for mandatory human review.
• Improve reliability through database parity and migration safety in CI, observability, performance work, and remediation of AppSec findings.
• Collaborate with the Security & Compliance team through frequent pull requests, tests, ADRs, and long-lived documentation.

Requirements

• Senior backend engineering experience with strong Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic skills, or equivalent experience in a comparable stack.
• Production experience integrating third-party REST APIs, including authentication, token handling, pagination, rate limits, webhooks, retries, and failure handling.
• Working knowledge of AWS, including ECS, Secrets Manager, and IAM basics, plus Docker and the ability to adjust Terraform.
• Strong testing habits and comfort with documentation-heavy, review-driven workflows.
• Security-minded approach to least privilege, secret hygiene, and confidential data.
• Fluent English required. Czech is welcome but not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SIEM/SOC or security tooling APIs.
• Exposure to GRC and compliance automation, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, Vanta, or Drata.
• Experience building LLM-agent workflows with tool use or integrating Jira, Slack, or Notion APIs.
• Experience with Grafana or Prometheus.

Culture & Benefits

• Part-time contract engagement at 0.5 FTE, approximately 10 person-days per month.
• Contract engagement on a B2B/IČO basis with monthly invoicing.
• Remote work within the EU with optional access to the Prague office.
• Engagement planned from ASAP through 31 December 2026, with a possible extension into 2027 by mutual agreement.
• AI coding tools are used in development, with full ownership expected for merged code.
