Senior Data Analyst (Web3/Fintech): Shaping product and business decisions through deep analysis, experimentation, and stakeholder partnership with an accent on defining success metrics, optimizing products at scale, and building AI-assisted analytics. Focus on designing complex experiments, modeling robust data in dbt/BigQuery, and creating scalable self-serve analytics for the organization.

Location: Must be based in Europe. Hybrid working is encouraged in London (2-3 days per week), and relocation is available on a case-by-case basis.

What you will do

• Partner with product and business teams to conduct root cause analysis and opportunity sizing to provide prioritized recommendations.
• Define and maintain clear metric definitions (e.g., Transaction Success Rate, Fraud Rate) to ensure AI tools and stakeholders interpret performance correctly.
• Design and interpret A/B tests and quasi-experimental methods such as difference-in-differences.
• Model robust data in dbt and BigQuery, ensuring quality through testing and certification.
• Develop AI-assisted analytics skills and tools to enable Product and Engineering teams to self-serve reliable answers.
• Communicate complex findings to audiences up to C-level to drive critical business decisions.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years as a data analyst or data scientist, preferably in a product-focused role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud warehouses and transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt with BigQuery or Snowflake).
• Strong grasp of statistics and probability, including experiment design and interpretation.
• Working understanding of payments or fintech operations (fraud, chargebacks, KYC/AML).
• Ability to use AI-assisted and LLM tools to accelerate analysis.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Looker, Python, and AI tooling like Claude Code.
• Experience in financial crime, payments, or fraud analytics.
• Background working in startups or scale-ups.
• Crypto-native perspective with experience in on-chain data (Dune, Flipside, Chainalysis).
• Experience implementing semantic layers or metric stores for self-serve data.
