Chief Project Engineer, Electrics (Industrial Automation)

Location: Hyvinkää, Finland; hybrid schedule with office work required 1–3 days per week

What you will do

• Oversee electrical engineering activities in customer projects and product development initiatives.
• Lead project engineering by guiding assigned resources and coordinating engineering work.
• Ensure designs comply with specifications, standards, regulations, and engineering processes.
• Monitor engineering progress, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Verify and approve final technical solutions and engineering documentation.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in the machine-building industry.
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and experience in industrial automation.
• Experience leading design projects and managing engineering projects across borders.
• Product development and productisation experience, with strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally approximately 20–50 days per year, sometimes at short notice.
