TL;DR
Lead Electrical Engineer (AI data centers): Designing and owning full power distribution architectures for mission-critical AI data centers with an accent on redundancy, grounding, protection studies, and utility coordination. Focus on defining N+1 and 2N topologies, performing load, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies, and delivering safe, reliable site power systems.

Location: Hybrid, based in Helsinki, Finland, with travel to project sites as required

hirify.global is building a full-stack AI cloud spanning data centers, hardware, and a cloud platform for AI teams.

What you will do

  • Design power distribution architecture, including utility service entrances, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, and transformers.
  • Define redundancy topologies such as N+1 and 2N.
  • Design grounding and bonding systems.
  • Perform load, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies.
  • Coordinate service and interconnection requirements directly with utility providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7–10+ years of experience designing mission-critical or data center electrical systems.
  • Strong command of redundancy topologies and protection studies.
  • Experience coordinating utility service and interconnection.
  • Senior to Lead level; hybrid work based in Helsinki with travel to sites as projects require.

Nice to have

  • Large-scale or hyperscale data center electrical experience.
  • Familiarity with construction in the Nordics, including local legislation and authorities.
