Senior Etch Process Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Develop and demonstrate plasma etch processes for semiconductor wafers and SPTS product platforms.
• Process customer wafers using etch demonstration equipment and document sample processing activities.
• Assess results with analytical equipment and software, perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and use endpoint detection to improve process control.
• Conduct long-duration testing and contribute to cross-functional projects supporting new products and technologies.
• Provide technical support at customer sites and from the factory, including support for field teams and customer installations.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, patent-related materials, publications, and conference submissions while maintaining customer and global support relationships.

Requirements

• A PhD, Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with relevant industrial experience; equivalent qualifications and hands-on semiconductor process engineering experience are also accepted.
• Experience with plasma etch processing in a semiconductor environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with semiconductor metrology techniques.
• Knowledge and practical experience of endpoint detection techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to support occasional domestic and international travel, including travel to the United States, and occasional shift work.
