Process Development Manager (Chemical Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Process Development team, building an engaged, accountable, and high-performing group of engineers and chemists.
• Lead the industrialisation and scale-up of new products and formulations from R&T development through safe, efficient, and robust manufacturing processes.
• Own the Process Development lifecycle from laboratory scale through pilot-plant activities and commercial production, including leadership of the pilot plant.
• Drive technology transfers from R&T into manufacturing and product transfers between hirify.global manufacturing sites.
• Provide Process Development expertise for production, quality, and performance problems while driving improvements in capability, quality, capacity, reliability, waste, cost, and efficiency.
• Manage feasibility studies, process risk assessments, techno-economic evaluations, priorities, resources, budget, KPIs, compliance, and cross-functional partnerships.

Requirements

• University degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Development and/or Manufacturing, with strong practical Process Development and scale-up knowledge.
• Experience taking products or processes through scale-up from development towards industrial manufacturing.
• Experience leading technical or scientific professionals, with the capability to coach, motivate, and develop others.
• Strong technical understanding of process development, manufacturing processes, and process scale-up.
• Strong understanding of the fundamentals of thermoset chemistries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to lead complex technical projects from development through implementation.
• Confidence in making decisions and balancing competing priorities in a complex operational environment.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across site, regional, and global teams.
• Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence, with a strong focus on EHS, quality, and compliance.
