Product Owner / Engineering Manager (Managed IaaS)

Focus on improving reliability and efficiency of hybrid-cloud infrastructure services, setting learning objectives and KPIs, and guiding engineers as new technologies like agentic AI are adopted.

Location: The Hague (hybrid working)

Salary: €7,087–€9,449 per month (40-hour workweek, depending on knowledge and experience)

What you will do

• Guide teams toward modern engineering practices and ensure product/service quality for Managed IaaS.
• Lead people development: evolve engineers’ skills, set learning objectives and quarterly Key Results with domain leadership.
• Facilitate the quarterly PI process in MIAAS and align on quarterly KPIs and objectives.
• Monitor operational performance, align with Group IT process management, and support escalations with MIAAS Product Owners.
• Manage staffing and the People Cycle: hiring, selection, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning aligned with product strategy.
• Partner with MIAAS Product Owners, Product Manager, and Head of Engineering to improve products and services and build a strong team culture.

Requirements

• Experience as an IT Service Manager or similar in complex organizations with many stakeholders.
• Experience in HR management and engineering development.
• Natural leadership style that influences decisions without relying on hierarchy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
