Salary: $320,000 - $405,000 USD

What you will do

• Improve developer velocity by reducing friction in build, deploy, and testing pipelines.
• Design and build shared UI components, libraries, and design-system-level abstractions for web and mobile.
• Evolve backend-for-frontend (BFF) APIs that power client applications.
• Identify and resolve latency issues and improve system observability and reliability.
• Partner with product engineering teams to align platform investments with high-impact needs.
• Maintain and evolve documentation and tooling to make the platform approachable for all engineers.

Requirements

• Strong practical skills in modern web technologies, specifically React and TypeScript.
• Experience designing or consuming APIs that serve frontend applications.
• Track record of building tools and systems that improve developer productivity.
• Solid instincts around reliability, observability, and performance in production systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco, CA in a hybrid capacity.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in shared platforms or developer tools.
• Experience building shared component libraries or reusable UI infrastructure.
• Expertise in API design and client-server architecture patterns.
• Proven success in performance optimization and latency reduction.
• Experience with CI/CD, build systems, deployment automation, and observability tools.
