What you will do

• Own the daily performance and reliability of critical facility systems, including UPS, BMS/EPMS, backup generators, and HVAC/cooling equipment.
• Run preventative and corrective maintenance programs and act as the primary escalation point for critical infrastructure events.
• Build, lead, and develop a team of internal and external supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
• Manage relationships with building management and vendors, including RFPs and contract negotiations.
• Lead commercial compliance with fire and building codes (FDNY, OSHA) and maintain thorough asset records.
• Directly participate in the design and operation of a new 100,000 sq ft tier-one NYC office.

Requirements

• 10-15+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or workplace infrastructure.
• Direct experience operating a 50,000+ sq ft commercial office in New York City (Class A or B).
• 2-3+ years of management experience leading high-performing teams.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, UPS, HVAC/cooling equipment, and fire suppression.
• Working knowledge of NYC commercial building codes, FDNY/OSHA requirements, and current Local Law.
• Must be based in New York City.

Nice to have

• Certifications in facilities management (e.g., FMP, CFM, IFMA, OSHA 30, FDNY F-89/T-89/S-95).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working in a financial, trading, or similarly fast-paced industry.
