Senior Counsel (Life Sciences)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, with a strong preference for commuting distance to the Marlborough, Massachusetts office. Global travel of up to 20% may be required.

Annual salary: $185,667–$204,500, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Provide global legal guidance on commercial agreements and complex matters, including antitrust, bankruptcy, clinical diagnostics, and related issues.
• Draft and negotiate partnerships, collaborations, licensing, M&A, research agreements, and other strategic transactions.
• Manage litigation, government investigations, and regulatory matters with external counsel and global product, quality, and regulatory teams.
• Advise on anti-corruption, trade sanctions, competition law, and third-party due diligence in partnership with Compliance.
• Support corporate governance, intellectual property, confidentiality, open-source software, Legal policies, and senior leadership activities.
• Develop legal training, playbooks, and process improvements, including AI-enabled legal workflows, and supervise a paralegal.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a licensed U.S. attorney, including experience at a nationally recognized law firm and in-house.
• Active U.S. Bar membership in good standing and authorization to practice in the United States.
• Strong academic credentials and substantial experience leading deals and negotiations.
• Experience managing multiple projects, providing strategic advice, and building cross-functional relationships.
• Leadership experience mentoring and developing others in a fast-paced, complex organization.
