Salary: $200K – $250K + Equity and Bonus

What you will do

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Technology teams from development through launch, providing legal and compliance guidance.
• Act as an embedded advisor to identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, privacy, AI, and security risks.
• Lead and enhance company compliance programs, including AI governance and the development of scalable internal policies.
• Review product features, marketing materials, and external communications to identify regulatory risks before publication.
• Lead the company's Risk Committee, overseeing enterprise risk management and coordinating the resolution of operational risks.
• Translate complex legal and regulatory issues into practical, business-oriented advice for fast decision-making.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar.
• 6+ years of relevant legal experience, including meaningful product counseling.
• In-house experience at a high-growth B2B technology company (hardware and software experience is a plus).
• Proven ability to navigate novel issues at the intersection of software, hardware, and climate technology.
