TL;DR

Data Scientist Intern (AI) (Python/SQL, Machine Learning): Developing and supporting machine learning, predictive analytics, and generative AI solutions for healthcare revenue cycle management with an accent on data preparation, model experimentation, and analytical communication. Focus on improving AI models, working with structured and unstructured data, and exploring large language models and retrieval-augmented generation.

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States

Compensation: $25.00 per hour

What you will do

Assist in developing, testing, and improving machine learning and artificial intelligence models.
Support data collection, preparation, transformation, and analysis for healthcare applications.
Participate in experiments and evaluations to identify opportunities for model improvement.
Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and data science teams on AI-enabled solutions.
Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and insights.
Contribute to documentation, presentations, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of machine learning best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Foundational knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and data analysis.
Experience with Python, SQL, R, or similar programming languages through coursework, internships, research, or personal projects.
Ability to work with structured and unstructured data and communicate analytical findings clearly.
0–2 years of experience in data science, machine learning, analytics, software engineering, or a related field; relevant projects and internships are valued.

Nice to have

Familiarity with Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
Interest in generative AI, large language models, and retrieval-augmented generation.
Experience with graduate work, research, capstone projects, or personal machine learning projects.
