Advanced Data Science Associate - Intern (North America - University Students) (AI)

Location: Hybrid work in Princeton, New Jersey; Bellevue, Washington; South San Francisco, California; or Chicago, Illinois, United States. Work combines home-based work with on-site presence at hirify.global offices or client sites. Client-facing work may require travel.

What you will do

• Develop advanced algorithms for large-dimensionality problems in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner.
• Apply statistical, data mining, hypothesis testing, machine learning, and retrieval techniques to large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Identify trends and relevant information through rigorous research and analysis.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to integrate and communicate analytical findings.
• Evaluate emerging datasets and technologies for the analytical platform.

Requirements

• A master's degree in computer science or statistics in progress, with strong academic performance and analytical and quantitative coursework.
• Knowledge of AI/ML algorithms and advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, text mining, recommender systems, social listening, and graph-based models.
• Knowledge of deep learning and AI technologies, including LLMs, generative AI, and transformers.
• Familiarity with statistical methods, big data, PySpark, SQL, Python, and pandas for data manipulation and data wrangling.
• Fluent English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, research orientation, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, motivation, and maturity.
