VP, Solutions Architect - AWS (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade generative and agentic AI systems from discovery through production.
• Architect AWS-native solutions using Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, AWS Strands Agents, AgentCore Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora, and OpenSearch.
• Produce reference architectures, architecture decision records, implementation roadmaps, and reusable infrastructure modules.
• Validate feasibility through hands-on Python prototyping and guide model, latency, cost, governance, and compliance tradeoffs.
• Provide architectural oversight to delivery teams, establish AWS MLOps and observability practices, and mentor engineers.
• Partner with product, engineering, research, customer success, and client stakeholders, including in pre-sales workshops and AWS migration strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering or cloud architecture experience with deep AWS ownership.
• Deep expertise in Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, AWS Strands Agents, AgentCore Gateway, and related AWS AI services.
• Experience with SageMaker, model fine-tuning, RAG, multi-agent systems, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and serverless patterns.
• Proficiency in Python, AWS SDKs, and Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale AWS transformations, observability strategies, secure architectures, and executive-level communication.

Nice to have

• AWS Professional or Specialty certifications, including Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Machine Learning, or Security.
• Experience with ReAct, Chain-of-Thought, Tree-of-Thoughts, AWS Control Tower, Glue, Redshift, or Lake Formation.
• Consulting or professional services experience.
