Associate Forensic Safety Consultant (M.S. or Ph.D. level)

Location: Penns Park, PA, United States. The role requires access to active construction sites and industrial facilities and is limited to U.S. Persons due to ITAR export controls.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Investigate workplace, industrial, and construction incidents involving injuries, fatalities, and near misses.
• Assist forensic experts with accident reconstruction, safety evaluations, and active client cases.
• Analyze OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, NFPA codes, and state and local safety requirements.
• Evaluate construction methods, hazard analyses, safety programs, training practices, machinery, tools, scaffolding, fall protection, and PPE.
• Apply ergonomic principles and conduct static or dynamic testing related to materials, product design, and human response.
• Review technical and safety records and prepare clear reports for technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline related to Occupational Safety or Industrial Systems; a Ph.D. is acceptable but not required.
• Experience with accident reconstruction, workplace injury investigations, safety compliance evaluations, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and hazard control practices.
• Ability to work independently in field and office environments and access active construction and industrial sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable ITAR export-control requirements.
