Annual salary: $97,843–$152,880 USD; annual bonus target: 8%

What you will do

• Lead the site safety and occupational health programs as the sole onsite safety and occupational health leader.
• Advise site leadership and employees on safety, occupational health, process safety, fire protection, ergonomics, and compliance risks.
• Maintain occupational health and safety policies, procedures, manuals, records, chemical data, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct compliance audits, safety observations, job safety analyses, process hazard reviews, pre-startup inspections, and Responsible Care audits.
• Manage PPE, HAZCOM, air and noise monitoring, safety equipment, contractor safety, emergency response, and fire safety programs.
• Classify and document workplace injuries and illnesses, support case management and investigations, and participate in corporate safety networks.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of occupational safety experience in the petrochemical or chemical industry, a refinery, or a similar environment.
• Experience with OSHA regulation compliance and interpretation.
• Experience conducting safety data analysis and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership, coaching, organization, independent-work, and change-management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, safety engineering, environmental management, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be able to work onsite in El Dorado, Arkansas; immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in occupational safety or engineering.
• Experience supporting Process Safety Management programs in chemical manufacturing or other high-hazard industrial environments.
• Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, or equivalent recognized certification.
• Experience applying Lean methodologies to maintenance processes and implementing business systems.
