What you will do

• Serve as the internal expert on AI safety, governance, and regulation, monitoring developments across federal agencies and international bodies.
• Analyze emerging governance frameworks and regulatory proposals to determine their implications for students and educators.
• Develop analytical products, briefings, and points of view for division leadership to translate complex AI developments into actionable strategies.
• Advise program strategy teams on the technology policy landscape regarding investments in AI-enabled tools.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across the technology sector, academia, and government.
• Communicate complex technical and policy developments in a clear, structured way for various audiences.

Requirements

• Advanced degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Significant experience in technology policy, AI governance, or a closely related field.
• Mastery-level knowledge of the AI governance landscape, including US federal and state regulatory activity.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical and regulatory developments into clear, actionable analysis.
• Experience building durable relationships across varied political contexts and administrations.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization in the US; the foundation does not provide immigration sponsorship.
