Senior Public Affairs Officer

Location: Springfield, Virginia, United States

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop talking points, reports, newsletters, executive briefings, and other communications products.
• Support strategic communications campaigns and workforce messaging initiatives.
• Coordinate with leadership and stakeholders to align communications objectives.
• Plan events and support stakeholder engagement and outreach activities.
• Provide editorial review and communications support for organizational initiatives.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
• 10+ years of experience in communications, public affairs, stakeholder engagement, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting executive-level communications and strategic messaging.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of Defense organizations.
• Experience with protocol, public affairs, or congressional engagement activities.
• Experience coordinating events and stakeholder outreach.
