What you will do

• Develop and maintain Python and Bash automation tools for system infrastructure.
• Support and manage Linux-based HPC clusters (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu).
• Configure and troubleshoot cluster schedulers such as SLURM or SGE.
• Build tooling for cluster monitoring, provisioning, and software deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug performance and scalability issues in distributed systems.
• Create technical documentation, operational runbooks, and deployment procedures.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be based in or able to work in Milpitas, CA.
• 0-2 years of related work experience (or 2+ years in software development/systems engineering).
• Strong Linux fundamentals and proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and NFS.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with SGE, SLURM, Kubernetes, or container technologies.
• Knowledge of GPU computing (CUDA/NVIDIA ecosystem).
• Proficiency in configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt.
• Experience with storage technologies including NFS, NAS, RAID, and parallel file systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks and DevOps workflows.
