HPC Customer Solutions Engineer (C++)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX or Minneapolis, MN preferred; Remote considered for exceptional candidates. US citizenship with eligibility to visit US government research facilities strongly preferred.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical support for scientific HPC applications to resolve complex technical issues.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and reproduce client-facing bugs and runtime errors to ensure timely resolution.
• Drive the development of new software features by translating customer needs into technical requirements.
• Profile and identify performance bottlenecks in HPC applications across various architectures.
• Maintain and contribute to user documentation and the internal support knowledge base.

Requirements

• Master's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Fortran programming languages.
• Working knowledge of parallel programming models such as MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, or OpenACC.
• Familiarity with HPC software stacks, including LLVM compilers, schedulers (SLURM, PBS), and toolchains.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools for administration and troubleshooting.
• US citizenship with eligibility to visit US government research facilities strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python and data science libraries like NumPy and Pandas.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and optimizing workloads on parallel architectures.
