Quality Technician II (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform incoming and outgoing inspections and support quality engineering activities.
• Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and use standard inspection tools, including micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and CMM equipment.
• Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and drive product and process improvements.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and complete problem resolution across manufacturing, materials, engineering, and planning.
• Communicate with R&D, Operations, Sales, customer service, customers, and senior management to escalate and resolve technical quality issues.
• Train manufacturing and inspection personnel while supporting quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• Associate degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical, or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Three years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CMM, specifically Zeiss CMM Calypso, is required.
• Knowledge of calibration, ESD, technical specifications, manuals, schematics, and written and verbal instructions.
• Good understanding of Smartsheet, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic familiarity with manufacturing test applications and quality analysis software.
• Ability to lift 30–50 pounds, perform repetitive tasks, and assemble and test instruments accurately.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMM systems beyond the required Zeiss CMM Calypso experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, Oracle, and customer portals.
